Here's a photo of the solved puzzle:

The circled letters from top to bottom read PRIZE

States puzzle:

This puzzle is a box of prompts and a set of state outlines with blanks next to them. The idea is to identify the person who has a state as either their first or last name. Here's a picture of the solved puzzle (with the states annotated and the prompt that it solves)

Machine generated alternative text: VIE61NIPr 6Kce61A CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE FOLLOWING?? AN ARCHAEOLOGIST? AN ACTOR? A PAINTER? A FORMER CHILD ACTRESS? A 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN AUTHOR? AN NFL QUARTERBACK? A PLAYWRIGHT? A 20TH CENTRY ENGLISH AUTHOR?

The circled letters from top to bottom spell INSIDE.

Side text:

One side panel has a bunch of writing that's an advertisement for the brand. This text has a number of typos (exchanged letters or missing letters) in it. Teams should identify these typos and what the correct or missing letter should be.

WordIncorrect letterCorrect letter
chock fallAU
bacisCS
ingrediantsAE
produts(missing letter)C
livedIO
alost(missing letter)M
climing(missing letter)B
adventurus(missing letter)O

UPC Code

The code scans to be the code for Chex. This should show up if they google the number that comes out from the UPC system OR scan it with the Amazon app. The Amazon logo by the upc code indicates that you should scan with the amazon app. It says "Mod 10" next to it. They need to mod 10 the numerical representation of the word CHEX aka (3 8 5 24 -> 3 8 5 4). This is the combination to the cryptex.

Heiroglyphics

This is the cover art on the front of the box.

I used this heiroglpyhics alphabet (which was included on the pregame puzzles)

so the cover text says CAESAR

Nutrition Facts:

This is a list of ingredients with amounts. Index into the ingredient by the number in the amount:

IngredientAmountExtracted Letter
Cholesterol1mgC
Dietary Fiber2gI
Potassium1mgP
Carbohydrates6gH
Protein5gE
Iron2%R
Vitamin B129%1
Vitamin B39%3

Once the teams open the box to get the prize inside, and use the combo to retrieve a piece of paper from the cryptex, then the only thing they won't have used is CAESAR CIPHER 13.

The paper inside the cryptex reads GEVKNERSBEXVQF so applying rot13 gives you the answer TRIXAREFORKIDS

Hinting:

*The cryptex might be hard to open. Tell the teams they have to pull HARD. If they really can't get it they should enter the code into spiderdoge. The partial will tell them what's inside.

Sometimes certain apps won't automatically search for the product for the UPC - they might try to mod 10 the number that comes out - that only leaves you with 1 number. The amazon logo is on the upc to indicate that they should sccan with the amazon app. It seems like if you google or bing the number that comes out of the UPC it says chex pretty early on and the cereal connection is hard to miss.

There's no specific order on the box for what order the answers of the puzzles go in. People will try to rot cipher a ton of other stuff before they open the cryptex.
