A Series of Unfortunate Events (Speedbumps) Solution

The puzzle is very straightforward. The bounty award name is always a three letter acronym that matched the three letter event acronym in the text. So, the above example is a Loose Wagon Nut (or LWN). Looking at the list, I have a Lonely Wooden Nail (LWN). Choosing that option will let me move forward.

Using the cable wrapped around you (and your horse) you propel downward into the canyon safely and continue on your journey.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. Unable to see another option, you decide to try and climb down. Your hands can’t cling to the slippery rocks and you end up falling way too far for a human body to survive. How unfortunate.
2		Sturdy Aluminium Rod	Lightning Strike	The sky begins to pour and clouds cover the sun. A Sudden Abominable Reaction shakes you in your boots. The sky is bright with lightning but there's no where to hide. More and more strikes light up around you. How will you keep yourself safe?	Super Awesome Reasoning! Using that rod to attract the lightning gets you off scot free. Nice job.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. Before you can choose something else, a lightning cracks, hitting you directly. How unfortunate.
3		Very Fancy Doilies	Hungry	Although your journey is just beginning, already you're facing a Vital Food Depletion. Struggling along the pathway you notice a small tent with a woman sitting outside of it on a log. You approach her, offering to trade for sustenance. She agrees to hear you out. What will you trade?	Victoriously Fair Deal! Of course she accepts your trade, handing over enough food to keep you going to the next day.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. You fumble around for something else, but she distrusts you now and refuses to give any food. How unfortunate.
4		Voice Enhancing Megaphone	Horse Slowing Down	As you continue on your trail, you notice your pace keeps slowing. Seems your horse is having a Valid Equine Meltdown. You try and cheer her on but she doesn't seem to be hearing you. You need to find a way to move faster…how can you do that with such an upset horse?	Very Encouraging Motivation! Using the megaphone finally got your horse's attention. Hearing your enthusiasm and how much you care inspired her to pick up the pace and continue on the trail.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. Your horse continues to slow until she stops moving at all. You push on, deciding to pull your horse forward. Nothing is working; soon the exhaustion overtakes you. How unfortunate.
5		Lonely Wooden Nail	Wagon Loses a Wheel	Thunk! Suddenly the wheel springs from the wagon thanks to a Loose Wagon Nut. You need to get that wheel back on and attached as soon as possible. Is there anything you have that can do the trick?	Laudable Win, Nice! Using the nail you manage to reattach the wheel in no time and get on your way. Hopefully it doesn't end up being too unreliable.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. You try other things but still you're stuck with a broken wagon. Unable to continue on your journey, you wait for rescue but no one ever comes. How unfortunate.
6	Prepare for attack	Structrually Sound Fort	Hole in Tent	After a long day of travel, you setup your tent only to notice a Sizeable Surface Fissure. In the darkness you fumble for any backup tents but you can't seem to find any. Is there anything else you could use for the night?	Super Sweet Fix! The fort you built will keep you nice and safe until the morning when you can find your spare tents and keep moving.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. You decide to sleep outside, which was a terrible idea. The cold, the animals, the unknown. Who knows what it was, but you didn't make it til morning. How unfortunate.
7		Colorfully Stylized Maracas	Rattlesnake	What's that? In the middle of your path a blur begins to define the outline of a Creepy Slithering Monster! Its rattle shakes a warning as you get closer. It's clearly in a bad mood. Is there anyway to get around it?	Correctly Selected Music! The rattle of the maraca matches the snake's rattle. Soon you are jamming out together, clearly the best of friends. As you start to pass you briefly wonder whether you should stay and form a band, but decide your horse would make a terrible drummer.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. The snake, irritated by your choice, chooses to attack immediately. How unfortunate.
8	Evening in the Wild	Brightly Lit Campfire	Eyes in the dark	Settling in for the night you notice a Blatantly Looming Creature, its eyes staring at you from the darkness. Very unsettling. How can you possibly scare it off?	Brilliant Light Choice! With the area now bright, you see the eyes actually belong to a curious rabbit. After staring another moment, it hops away, leaving you to get some well earned sleep.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. Unable to sleep from the fear, you start the next morning exhausted. One quick moment of sleep causes you to doze your way off the side of your horse and down the steep cliffside. How unfortunate.
9		Solid Iron Shoe	Horse throws a shoe	A sharp whinny jolts you from your conversation. Looking down you notice you have a Severely Injured Stallion who has thrown a shoe. There's no way she can continue like this. Can you find a way to help?	Swimmingly Intelligent Selection! Turns out the iron shoe is a perfect fit. After a few minutes taken to attach the horseshoe, you're once again on your way.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. You refuse to leave your horse, instead attemping to hoist her onto your shoulders so you can continue. Clearly that didn't work because it's a horse. You were crushed. How unfortunate.
10		World's Strongest Man	Rockslide blocking main path	So close to your destination but in your way a Wide Stone Mass from what looks like a recent rockslide. Looks impossible to go around or over. There has to be a way through, but how?	Wow, So Macho! The man uses his ungodly strength to clear the bolders from the path. Man, good thing you are friends with nearby, ridiculously strong people.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. You decide the best thing to do is attempt to climb, but the rocks slip out from under you. You end up stuck between a rock and a hard place (rock). How unfortunate.
11		Obnoxiously Accurate Scope	Crossing a river	Once again a river lies in your path and with it an Overly Ambtious Sail. The water is rough, there's no way you can cross here. What could possibly help here?	Optimally Awesome Sight! You can see for miles with the scope. While searchin, you see a calmer and less wide part of the river not too far out of the way. You make your way down there and cross safely.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. Knowing you must continue regardless, you attempt to cross the raging river. That was, well, overly ambitious, and you definitely drowned. How unfortunate.
12	Shoo! Go on! Git!	Deep Cacophonous Bellow	Buffalo crossing	You stop quick! In front of you are Dangerously Crossing Buffalo, moving hazardously enough to make you wary to pass them. There are so many… they are starting to surround you. Can you find a way to get out of this mess before they trample you?	Dope Chant, Bro! Your voice echoes across the valley, every buffalo turning your way to listen. Weirdly, they seem to understand and begin to part themselves to allow you through. The herd heard.	Hmm. That didn't seem to work. The last few minutes of you trying to find another option is all it took for the stampede to close in and trample you. How unfortunate.
