Teams were given a link that opened a Microsoft Teams chat with the @CowFacts bot.

Sending SUBSCRIBE signed them up for the CowFacts! Mailing List and started sending them facts about cows.

Alternatively, they could have been directed to a channel in Teams where they find a bot has posted a helpful card:
