Soundboard CD Solution

How It Works

The applciation on the CD displayed an 8 X 4 grid of buttons. When a button was pressed, a sound played of a stylized quote. Each button plays a recording of a person (me) doing a funny voice.

Solution

  1. Discover that each funny voice is represented by exactly two sound clips.
  2. Discover that many sound clips contain a spoken number.
    1. Discover that some spoken numbers are homonyms. (i.e. "to" = "two").
    2. Discover that only one of each pair of sound clips contains a spoken number.
  3. Infer that, for each pair of sound clips, the number in one clip refers to the other clip.
    1. Discover that reading the nth word in each non-number sound clip, read in order on the grid (left-to-right, top-to-bottom), reveals the following sentence: I AM THAT WHICH MEASURES THE PAIN OF A CONCERT AND THE CAPACITY OF A JUG
      1. Infer that this is a riddle, the answer to which is: VOLUME

GC Notes

For this clue, Adam hid in the dark at a very creepy Fort, installed in a hill (so quasi underground). His job was to silently wait in the darkest, scariest part of the installation, which was a series of rooms that resembled a deserted operating room, which of course had a raised slab of concrete (operating table). He would do his best to yell and scare the teams as they walked into the room.
