From the previous location, teams were advised to seek out the Temporal Anomaly Detector at the American Museum of Radio and Electricity. They were given a packet consisting of a grid of likely locations, and a walking map of downtown Bellingham. The grid is reproduced below.
When teams arrived at the museum, they were supposed to find a working detector, in the form of a physical device displaying a 7x7 grid of glowing tubes. This, along with the phone number indicated on the device's description card, would reveal an 8x8 maze containing 22 letters, with the following layout:
