Presentation:

Teams go to the Reptile zoo, which has a number of exhibits of various species of reptiles. They receive a book titled The Name of the Snake Charmer.

Walkthrough:

1. Go to the front desk to get your puzzle (The Name of the Snake Charmer book)

2. Each page in the booklet describes a pop culture icon. Each reptile in the zoo is named after some sort of pop culture icon. For each page in The Name of the Snake Charmer, teams do the following:

   1. Identify the pop culture icon being described, quoted, or sketched out in the image.

   2. Find the reptile in the zoo named after that pop culture icon.

   3. Write down the reptile's species on the last page (in the INDEX), on the line corresponding to the page describing its name.

1. Take a cue from the title of the last page (INDEX) and index the page number into each reptile species. Get MY RHIANNON DONT.

2. Remember that the green anaconda's name is RHIANNON, or go find the reptile named RHIANNON which turns out to be the giant anaconda, or just assume that RHIANNON is an anaconda because it sounds like a familiar lyric. Therefore, MY ANACONDA DONT.

3. Therefore, either Sir Mix-a-lot or Nicki Minaj wrote the book. Respond SIRMIXALOT or NICKIMINAJ. Woo!

Hinting:

• If the teams get stuck with what to do after they've filled out the index, it's helpful to repeatedly ask what the page says and, if they've already tried indexing, encourage them to keep going even though "Rhiannon" doesn't look like a word.

• There is a Levi in the same tank as Taylor. The Levi means nothing, we just can't take him out of the tank.
